Before working with a coach

Make sure, as much as possible, that you are aware of your “pain points”; in a short introspective process, ask yourself:
  • Where are you now in your life?

  • What would you love to see after our coaching sessions?

  • Do you have a life story that you feel has defined who you are today?
Put this story on paper and read it several times over a week. You might draw different conclusions.
  • What is working well now in your life?
  • What is not working so great? What would you like to change?

  • What are your biggest struggles?
Usually we have enough blind spots and we do not see how we reflect ourselves onto others; thus, we miss access to valuable internal resources.

  • What do you appreciate about me?
  • What is my potential for growth?
  • What are the obstacles I create for myself?

Sometimes, when asking ourselves these questions we might find the answers we seek. Other times, these questions may be an excellent foundation before starting the coaching process.
